The PPA Tour adds Spain to its circuit, partnering with Smash Pickleball Agency to boost pickleball in Europe.
Smash Pickleball Agency has officially announced its agreement with the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour), granting it exclusive rights to operate the tournaments in Spain. With this award, the country joins the world-leading circuit’s European expansion plan, marking a key step toward the structured, coordinated development of the sport across the continent.
The inaugural season in Spain will kick off in Barcelona from September 23 to 27, 2026, launching a circuit with a total of seven stops across the country. Most importantly for athletes, all of these events will award points directly toward the PPA’s unified global ranking, giving local players, for the first time, a clear and accessible pathway to compete at the international elite level from their own country.
Through this project, Smash Pickleball Agency aims to support the sport’s growth from Spain, actively contributing to the professionalization of the industry and attracting new players. The goal is to join forces with the broader European momentum to strengthen the sport’s commercial structure, helping pickleball gradually reach a player base and economic relevance comparable to traditional sports.
