The Smash Pickleball Agency player joined Spain’s national team for the 2026 Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The world of pickleball came together in Da Nang, Vietnam, for the 2026 Pickleball World Cup, and Smash Pickleball Agency player Raquel Amaro represented Spain on the international stage.
Raquel was selected as part of Spain’s Open national team alongside Mauro García, Jhonnatan Medina, Josep Canyadell, Ignasi de Rueda, Sabrina Méndez, Glauka Carvajal and Alicia Roca. The competition brought together national teams from around the world from August 30 to September 6.
Spain Competes on the World Stage
Spain opened the competition with victories over Belize, Aruba and South Africa, advancing to the knockout stage. The team then defeated Colombia before facing Hong Kong in the Round of 16.
Hong Kong, the second seed and 2025 World Cup runner-up, ended Spain’s run in the competition. Despite the result, the Spanish team delivered a strong performance and continued to demonstrate the growth of the sport in Spain.
For Raquel, the tournament represented another milestone in an international career that continues to grow alongside the development of European pickleball.
