Team Europe, managed by Smash Pickleball Agency, made its debut at the MLP Mid-Season Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan, connecting European talent with one of the biggest stages in professional pickleball.

Smash Pickleball Agency took European pickleball to a new level this July, bringing Team Europe to the Major League Pickleball (MLP) Mid-Season Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Managed by Smash, Team Europe became the first European team to compete in an MLP event, marking an important milestone for the international growth of the sport.
The tournament, held from July 8–12 alongside the Beer City Open, brought together all 20 MLP teams, as well as Team Europe, Team Canada, Team Australia and the Collegiate All-Stars.
European Talent on the MLP Stage
Team Europe featured six players from across the continent:
Raquel Amaro, Pep Canyadell and Jhonnatan Medina-Alvarez represented Spain, while Ben Cawston and Kate Morris represented the United Kingdom and Karolina Owczarek represented Germany.
The team brought together some of Europe’s leading talent to compete against established professional teams from the United States.
For Smash, the project was about more than competition. It was about creating an international pathway for European players and strengthening the connection between the European and American pickleball ecosystems.
A Project Built Through Collaboration
Team Europe was created and managed by Smash Pickleball Agency, with the support of leading partners including Playtomic as Title Sponsor, NOX as Official Apparel Supplier and Wingfield as Official Partner.
The project showcased Smash’s role in connecting players, brands and international opportunities to create new projects for the growth of pickleball.
Competing in Grand Rapids was another step in Smash’s international vision: bringing European talent to major global stages while continuing to build opportunities for the next generation of professional players.
From Europe to Grand Rapids, Team Europe represents the continued growth of pickleball across borders.
